- notes
- CD-ROM on this book: "Talks given at a meditation camp at Kulu/Manali, India, (Sep 26-Oct5) except first chapter, given at CCI chambers, Bombay (July 20)."
- synopsis
- (Translated as in Krishna: The Man and His Philosophy on CD-ROM)
- Question 1
- What were the social, political and religious conditions of his times that made it necessary for a soul like Krishna's to take birth among us? Please explain.
- Question 2
- You said that Krishna's birth is without a cause. But in the Geeta Krishna himself says that "Whenever there is a decline in righteousness and rise in unrighteousness, I incarnate myself." Please explain.
- Question 3
- What does Krishna mean when he says in the Geeta, "I will come into being for the protection of the righteous and for the destruction of the wicked"?
- Question 4
- We gather from mythological sources that Krishna incarnates himself as Rama, and Rama incarnates himself as Krishna. So it seems that both of them are the same entity. Please comment.
- Question 5
- Do you think Krishna's plays, his leelas are worth emulating, imitating? Or have these plays of his only to be considered? Will one not degrade oneself if he follows Krishna?
