17th July 1983 To Whom it may concern. ...Music is my meditation, my way of being ... I studied classical saxophone and recorder, and also studied Electronic. After touring with many groups and singers like Salvatore Adamo, Baden Powell, Jack Higelin, Pierre Barrouh, Gilbert Montague, etc... I’ve played with many cross-cultural groups, from middle-age music to synthesisers. I’ve been an assistant in INA - GRM (French Institute for Audio-Visual Research) and worked in Multimedia shows:
I’ve worked on French radios, French culture, French music and toured Europe in solo concerts or with different musicians. After producing 3 albums "le temps des moissons"
I became interested in relaxation and meditation music and in Spring 1980 I heard some tapes from discourses of Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh, and began reading His books. I felt the immense insight He has about humanity, science, etc. and the importance of meditation for the balance of our psyche. I felt the meaning of His work as a religious leader. Never before did I come in contact with such a being, a master, a guide, and my research in music has tremendously improved, guided by His Teachings. I then produced 3 cassettes for meditation
and my inspiration is now a flow - Just to listen or read one sentence from His discourses or talks, gives me ideas I can translate into sounds. Any country should be proud to welcome Him as a major figure of our own Times, and hel Him to guide us through the difficulties of this period. To end my letter, I’d like to quote Bhagwan’s words about music ....... "Music is a way towards meditation - and the most beautiful way -Music helps you from the outside to fall in tune with the inner"
"Music creates such a harmony that even God starts nodding at you, saying yes to you .... When music and meditation meet, matter and consciousness meet. That is unio mystica - the mystic union"
Hoping this simple letter helps a beautiful vision to develop, for the benefit of our future. Sincerely yours, |
