Probably this change and the corresponding one in Hindi Events can be done using sub-categories, a more usual format, if it matters.

Another if-it-matters observation concerns the order in which events are listed, which is out of line with the usual practice of removing initial articles from alpha order considerations, ie no leading "a"s and "the"s. Changing that would be a big job of course, and possibly not worthwhile. -- doofus-9 17:29, 12 April 2019 (UTC)

Yes, subcategories would be an idea. I don't know how to do that though.

And about the leading "a"s and "the"s: I thought that would not be worthwhile, so I did not make it in the ss. Rudra agreed at that time. --Sugit (talk) 18:16, 12 April 2019 (UTC)

I think for subcategories we need Rudra in order to do something with options of Eng and Hin events categories.

I agree with Sarlo on listing without articles, we need to be consistent, if we use this rule in all languages' bibliographis, incl. Italian and English, then it is naturally to show events in this order too. I can do these corrections if Rudraji will approve that. Yes?--DhyanAntar 04:26, 13 April 2019 (UTC)

I agree that it is a bit nicer to have it all in the same way. If you want I can make a list with the codes in e.g. Events.xls. --Sugit (talk) 05:34, 13 April 2019 (UTC)

I thought it would be an easy, straightforward matter to create the subcategories, simply by editing them to include , and they would automatically pop up as subcategories. I tried it with but nothing came of it, so i guess the CategoryTOC cancels that. So not worth the trouble, i would think, except as a puzzle for Rudy.

About the leading "a"s and "the"s, it is better, all things being equal, to be consistent, but it is surely a low priority here, with a lot of work for little return in terms of usefulness for visitors. -- doofus-9 16:10, 13 April 2019 (UTC) - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

And then i thought (about the subcategories) That can't be right! I tried renewing the page immediately after i edited and it didn't show up, but trying just now it did. So subcategories are easy, they might just take a minute for the server to get it together. -- doofie

Sugit, if you will be able to extract codes of current pages for adding the corrections on articles to there, then do it please. Codes on wiki will be updated via a script. Not trouble i can update categories manually.

Btw, extansion Replacement will be less useful, because there are needed many different cases of replacements.--DhyanAntar 03:44, 14 April 2019 (UTC)

OK, I will send you <Events with A+The.xls>. And I will look at the Template, because Category:English Events are generated there. --Sugit (talk) 09:00, 14 April 2019 (UTC)

I have now sent the SS to you, hope that works out. Also, I have changed the Template:Event to code for leaving out A and The in sorting. This is not reflected in Category:English Events now, maybe it takes some time; if pages are manually edited, then the sorting is reflected right away. --Sugit (talk) 13:55, 14 April 2019 (UTC)
