- Sesonsfin: A Tale from the Bronze Age: She lived in the Water Lands between worlds, like we did in the West, except the water was mostly flat where she was. We would go out in the bark together, looking for eggs amongst the reeds. She was a better rower than I and would sit in front, her long golden hair blowing in the breeze, like the wheat so many of her families grew in great fields. She is beautiful like the sun. I am mostly happy but that time in the Water Lands of the East, my happiness had form. Yet I almost forgot her as we approached the first wheels.
- C.1000 BC. Members of the Moon Tribe undertake a momentous quest around what will one day be the British Isles. Caught between the times of Old Magic and an unknown future, between nomadic and agricultural lifestyles, the soft metal of bronze and the hard of iron, they are led by a shaman Hok and his protégé Kog, a teenage boy with special abilities.
- In their travels, they will brave the extremity of the elements, creatures of nature and myth, and psychic remnants of past wars. Despite everything they keep going, gathering hundreds to their cause in order to preserve an entire civilisation. They know they cannot rest, for Sesonsfin is coming and, if they are not ready, everything they love and care for will be lost.
