Sohan, born 1975 in Bridgetown, WA, is an award-winning animator and media artist based in Perth, Western Australia, working in the fields of expanded and interactive cinema, animation, persuasive games, systems theory and locative media. He has exhibited widely, including the Museum of Contemporary Art in Sydney, Fremantle Arts Centre, the Perth Institute of Contemporary Arts, Goddard de Fiddes Gallery in Perth, the Jerwood Gallery in London, TAV Gallery in Taiwan and the Post Museum in Singapore.

His 2010 animation The Paper Tale was broadcast nationally and shown at the Perth Revelation Film Festival and Festival of Perth and at subsequent international venues including: Japan Media Arts Festival, Festival of Animated Objects (Canada) and Les Nuits Magiques (France).

Sohan has received several national and international awards for his work, including from the British Multimedia Industry Awards in 2002, Laval Virtual France (2011), Atom Awards Australia (2002) as well as a nomination for ABAF Most Outstanding Patron of the Arts, Western Australia.

He is the co-curator of an exhibition about Sannyasins in Western Australia - Orange: Sannyas in Fremantle which runs from Apr 1 to May 21 at the Fremantle Art Centre.
