The problem we have is that we only have a single line, compared to a book that has a whole page for the title. so in English titles, we separated book lines with a colon, even though on the cover there is of course no colon. but you need to use the "line-separator", otherwise it sounds wrong.--[[User:Rudra|Rudra]] ([[User talk:Rudra|talk]]) 12:24, 15 January 2017 (UTC)

Revision as of 01:41, 16 January 2017

Five earlier pages were lumped together in this one:

Meditatie, vrij zijn in het hier en nu: het handboek
Meditatie, vrij zijn in het hier en nu: het werkboek
Meditatie handboek
Meditatie: De eerste en de laatste vrijheid
Meditatie, de eerste en laatste vrijheid

Meditatie, de eerste en ....
Meditatie: De eerste en ....
Meditatie: de kunst van ....

looking at all the Dutch titles, there seems to be a happy mix of commas and colons and and also Caps and noCaps after the colon. --Rudra (talk) 03:18, 14 January 2017 (UTC)

You are right, this has not been thought through well. I propose to have this one rule: follow the exact text of the title-page. That would lead to no capitals after the first letter and omitting all commas and most colons. I think that is the best we can do. Will do that. --Sugit (talk) 18:47, 14 January 2017 (UTC)

Have a look at Meditatie. This does justice to all of the titles, omits the commas-and-colons problem and seems more user-friendly.

I will remove the books and leave redirects.

The other book you mention, Meditatie: de kunst van innerlijke extase, has that colon analogous to its original: Meditation: The Art of Ecstasy. --Sugit (talk) 10:26, 15 January 2017 (UTC)
