always test a page on a smartphone as well --Rudra 11:32, 6 January 2018 (UTC)

Hmm, I never did that. Any general rules? --Sugit (talk) 11:37, 6 January 2018 (UTC)

pages should work also on narrow displays. there are some rare exeptions like the Sannyas Newspapers.--Rudra 12:02, 6 January 2018 (UTC)

Sugit, there is no book under that title, so there cannot be any chapters either.--Rudra 07:28, 6 August 2018 (UTC)

Ha, that's a pretty etherical discussion. But imo it is not relevant if it's a book: it is a series. (The word "chapter" was found nicely because it is short for "in the series".) If these event-pages would, some day, be full of info, with other events in-between, then this way the user still can to go to prev or next WRB.

For now it is not relevant, but I would need to program an exception, which I think is not really needed: those links do no harm. Or?

We have the same situation with Satsang May 1981 ~ 01 etc. And with the series of Annual World celebrations, actually, those do have other events in-between. --Sugit (talk) 09:55, 6 August 2018 (UTC)

yes, makes sense.

but then we may need to find another word?

the individual element of a series is a "part". in films they are "episodes". in books and also in sagas they are "chapters".
since WRBs and Satsangs are very much like sagas, let's leave it at "chapters".--Rudra 00:36, 7 August 2018 (UTC)

Another wild idea to omit chapter, see the page. --Sugit (talk) 06:29, 7 August 2018 (UTC)

i found the solution. you can now with the "what" variable choose what the "what" should be, like "chapter" or "WRB" or "satsang" etc --Rudra 14:02, 7 August 2018 (UTC)

Nice. So alternatives could be "chapter" (for books with discourses or writings), "letter", "interview", "darshan", "WRB", "satsang", "celebration". Others?

Or, in stead of the variants chapter/letter/interview/darshan : "in series"? --Sugit (talk) 14:22, 7 August 2018 (UTC)

i've now let you set both separately, ie "previous chapter" and "next book" or just leave whatp or the whole nextchap blank--Rudra 02:27, 8 August 2018 (UTC)

You lost me here. Why would we want that? The lower prev & next always link to the same category of events, never prev to one and next to another.

My last try with that middle field was to make the search-category clear, but always prev and next the same. --Sugit (talk) 06:37, 8 August 2018 (UTC)

ie when you are at the last chapter of a book : Previous chapter and Next series could very well be one scenario if you have all sorts of other types of events inbetween. --Rudra 13:18, 8 August 2018 (UTC)

Don't get it, sorry. Let's keep it like it was, with only one "what". Or even simpler: none at all, and use for the bottom line << Previous in series | | Next in series >> --Sugit (talk) 15:06, 8 August 2018 (UTC)

ah yes, "in series" sounds perfect... so no more what
i also have now finally figured out how to hide buttons when there is no prev or next in a series. see here --Rudra 00:05, 9 August 2018 (UTC)
