Originally this series was planned as 6 volumes with each 20 chapters, but only 4 volumes of The Book of the Books with 10 discourses each were eventually published.

The discourses referenced here were first published as part of The Dhammapada: The Dhammapada, Series 11 + The Dhammapada, Series 12.
