This volume is part of a 6-volume edition of Ashtavakra: Mahageeta (अष्‍टावक्र : महागीता) (series), each volume having 15 discourses except the last, which has 16. See discussion for a TOC.

The series was first published as a nine-volume set under title Mahageeta, each volume having ten discourses except the last, which has eleven. Thus, this volume corresponds to the second half of Mahageeta, Bhag 2 (महागीता, भाग दो) of that set, plus all of Bhag 3.

Chapters 1-8 were later published as Ashtavakra Mahageeta, Antarik Kranti Ke Sutra (अष्‍टावक्र महागीता, आंतरिक क्रांति के सूत्र) and ch 9-15 as Ashtavakra Mahageeta, Anand Ki Talaash (अष्‍टावक्र महागीता, आनंद की तलाश)
