synopsis
A description of this event has been found in Jyoti Shikha, issue #10, of Sep 1968. An image of the page (99) can be seen here. The relevant text reads:
A rough translation:
On 7th May, at the Birla Sports Center, Acharyashree gave a talk organized by the Jain Social Group. He said: "There is no salvation other than knowledge. Therefore, I welcome every effort to spread knowledge. Knowledge is liberation but knowledge is also power. Enlightenment is freedom. Physics is power. A proper balance of these two kinds of knowledge will be both musical and practical. But nowadays, there is an imbalance between these two and it has become a misfortune of humanity. The biggest problem among the inner and outer forms of knowledge, religion and science, is of finding balance. What can be done to make this balance available?"
A more idiomatic and accurate translation would be welcome!
Jyoti Shikha also featured photos from this event in its issue #9, of Jun 1968, on its inner front cover and last page. Dhanyavaad, Anuragi!
