Letter written on 14 Oct 1961

This is one of hundreds of letters Osho wrote to Ma Anandmayee, then known as Madan Kunwar Parakh. It was written on 14th October 1961. The letterhead has a simple "रजनीश" (Rajneesh) in the top left area, in a heavy but florid font, and "115, Napier Town, Jabalpur (M.P.) in the top right, in a lighter but still somewhat florid font.

Osho's salutation in this letter is a simple "मां", Maan, Mom or Mother. It has a few of the hand-written marks that have been observed in other letters: a blue number (26) in a circle in the top right corner, a red tick mark, and a second number (52) in the bottom right corner.

Osho informs Ma in last para of this letter about his plan to visit Chanda on 21st Oct - Kranti and Arvind might also join. (Apparently this would be his 2nd visit to Ma at Chanda after the 1st on 3 Dec 1960.)

रजनीश ११५, नेपियर टाउन जबलपुर (म. प्र.) १४ अक्तू. ‘६१ मां, सुबह की हवाएं फूलों की गंध लिए द्वार पर आगई हैं। रात ओस पड़ी है और दूब पर, वृक्ष-पत्तों पर उसके मोती चमक रहे हैं। एक पक्षी आम्र टहनी पर आ बैठा है और दूर से उसके साथी की पुकार आरही है। मैं रोज यह देखता हूँ और अभिभूत होजाता हूँ। जीवन के कण-कण से अनंत सौंदर्य प्रगट होता है। संपूर्ण प्रकृति एक अद्भूत काव्य है। इसे छोड़ लोग कहां सत्य का अनुसन्धान करने जाते हैं? सत्य आंख के सामने फैला है। सौंदर्य सत्य का परिधान है। वह घुंघट है : उठाते ही प्रभु का दर्शन होजाता है। मैं कहता हूँ : कहीं भी छुलो और वही बैठा है : कहीं भी देखो और वही दीखता है और कहीं भी चलो उसके पास ही पहुँचना होजाता है। सब रास्ते वहीं पहुँचते हैं; कारण सब रास्ते उसीमें हैं। हम भी उसीमें हैं। सब उसीमें हैं इसलिए चलने वाले भी पहुँच जाते हैं और न चलने वाले भी पहुँच जाते हैं! प्रभु को खोना असंभव है : कुछ भी करें उससे विलग होना असंभव है। सब आयोजन तोड़कर, प्रत्येक को एक न एक दिन, वह दीख ही जाता है। xxx मैं २१ अक्तूबर को आ रहा हूँ : संभव है कि क्रांति और अरविंद भी आवें। सुबह पहिली बस से निकलूँगा और ‘अपनी गाड़ी’ (जी. टी.) से संध्या वहां पहुँचूंगा। पत्र आपका मिल गया है : जिन्हें सूचित करना है उन्हें कर दें। बुलढ़ाना लिखदें गुरुजी को भी। तीन या चार दिन रुकूँगा : कहीं घुमने चलने का कार्यक्रम बनालों तो अच्छा है। सबको मेरे विनम्र प्रणाम। रजनीश के प्रणाम

Partial translation

"I am coming on 21st October – probably Kranti and Arvind also will come. I will start by the first bus in the morning (for Nagpur) and reach (Chanda) in the evening by ‘My Train’ (G. T.). Your letter is received. Inform whomsoever as required. Also write to Guruji at Buldhana. I will stay for three or four days – if a tour program to visit some place is arranged then it’s nice. My humble pranam to all."
