Letter written on 25 Apr 1961 om

This is one of hundreds of letters Osho wrote to Ma Anandmayee, then known as Madan Kunwar Parakh. It was written in the early afternoon of 25th April 1961 on an unusual letterhead, perhaps related to a recent or upcoming event, the same letterhead as used in Letter written on 15 Apr 1961 am, and similar to that of Letter written on 25 Nov 1960. The central part of the letterhead reads: "Sant Taaran Taran Jayanti Samaroha Samiti", Sant Taaran Taran Birthday Celebration Committee / "Karyalay" (Office) -- Digambar Shop, Jawaharganj, Jabalpur (M.P.). To the right of that: "Mantri" (secretary), RL Jain, MA, LLB. R. L. Jain is designated as Secretary and Acharya Rajneesh as 'Adhyaksh' (upper left corner) - i.e. President (Chairperson) of the Board / Committee for the Birth Anniversary Celebration of Sant Taaran Taran (संत तारण तरण).

Osho's salutation in this letter is "पूज्य मां", Pujya Maan, Revered Mother, possibly the new usual for this period. The letter is a two-pager, continuing on the reverse side of the first page. There is a red tick mark on the first page and a hand-written "25" on the back side. See discussion for more on that.

अध्यक्ष आचार्य रजनीश संत तारण तरण जयंती समारोह समिति कार्यालय – दिगम्बर शॉप, जवाहरगंज, जबलपुर (म. प्र.) मंत्री आर. एल. जैन एम. ए., एलएल. बी. पूज्य मां, प्रणाम। आपका पत्र मिला : खुशी हुई। इस बीच आप पर बहुत काम रहा पर मैं जानता हूँ कि सेवा का सब काम आपकी क्षमता से सदा कम है इसलिए निश्चिंत हूँ। प्रेम काम को आनंद में परिणत कर देता है। जिस कार्य को, जिस सेवा को आपने अपने हाथ में लिया है उसमें आप अपने को जितना मिटा देंगी उतनी ही उपलब्धि होगी। बीज जैसे अपने को खोकर वृक्ष में पा लेता है; वैसे ही व्यक्ति सेवा और प्रेम में अपने को खोकर विराट में पालेता है। खोना ही पाना है। अपने को सिकोड़े सुरक्षित रखना ही खोदेना है। यह जीवन का विज्ञान है। यह विज्ञान बड़ा उल्टा है। साधारण गणित के यह एकदम विपरीत है। ईसा ने कहा है : जो अपने को खोता है वही प्रभु को पासकता है। मेरी प्रार्थना यही है कि आप मिट जायें। इस तरह वह मिलेगा जिसे पाने को यह अवसर है। xxx पचमढ़ी १० को जाने को आप लिखी हैं। देशलहरा जी कब पचमढ़ी पहुँच रहे हैं? फिर आपके साथ पारखजी तथा और कौन आने को हैं। यहां से मैं, क्रांति और संभवत: अरविंद सभी चलेंगे। जब भी ठीक समझें आप यहां आ जायें और यहां से हम चलें। संभव है कि डेरिया जी या ताराचंद भाई कोठारी भी वहां पहूँचें। देशलहरा जी के यहां कितने जनों की व्यवस्था होसकेगी यह सोचलें अन्यथा फिर कोई और व्यवस्था करनी होगी। xxx एक स्वप्न कल देखा हूँ। बहुत आदेशपूर्ण था आप मिलेंगी तब बातें होंगी। उस स्वप्न में मुझे कहा गया है कि मैं आपके और अपने बीच मोह विकसित न होने दूँ। वह दोनों की प्रगति में बाधा बन जायेगा। यह आदेश सामयिक है। भला लगा। अभी कोई डर तो न था पर मन की कौन कहे? सबको मेरे विनम्र प्रणाम। २५ अप्रिल १९६१ दोपहर. रजनीश के प्रणाम

"You have written to visit Pachmadhi on 10th. When Deshalhara Ji is reaching Pachmadhi? And along with you Parakh Ji and who else are coming. From here, Kranti and probably Arvind & all would come. You come here whenever it’s felt ok and from here we would go. Probably Deriya Ji and Tarachand Bhai Kothari also would reach there. Think over about how many people can be accommodated at Deshalhara Ji’s place, else we will have to make other arrangement."
