Otherwise one goes round and round in circles.
Because the known can never be the door for the unknown.
And the known is the mind.
So mind becomes the barrier.
Look attentively at this fact.
Be alert of the vicious circles of the mind.
And, then there is transcendence.
The known must be rare for unknown to be.
The known must go for the unknown to come in.
And this creation of the known is meditation.

Osho wrote many letters in Hindi and English to Sw Chaitanya Veetaraga, some of which were published in various letter collections. This one is an English original dated 25th May 1971. It was published in The Silent Music as letter #29, and later in A Cup of Tea as letter #284.

The letterhead reads:

A-1 WOODLAND PEDDAR ROAD BOMBAY-26 PHONE : 382184 in blue ALL-CAPS

The logo in the upper right corner is a "standard" Jeevan Jagriti Kendra logo in two colours.

The whole letter is written in black ink except for a bright red signature.
