Bollywood actor Mahipal was influenced by Osho. He was well known for acting in stunt films and mythological films from 1950s to 1970s.

Mahipal shows up in many stories in Mumbai when Osho was visiting or living there. He had edited several works of Osho. He edited Jyoti Shikha (ज्योति शिखा) quarterly for three years and was credited for its visual and content improvement.

Mahipal wanted clarity on Osho's ideas and vision so he met him and interviewed him. The interviews were later published as a book Main Kahta Aankhan Dekhi (मैं कहता आंखन देखी) which was edited by him and had a preface written by him. There were only four chapters under the original title but was later expanded with other materials. Gujarati translation of ch.1 as of MKAD, Swanubhavni Kasotie (સ્વાનુભવની કસોટીએ) had a short biography of Mahipal on its backcovers. Gujarati translation also have translation of his preface.

Letter Prem Ke Phool ~ 116 is addressed to him.

Acharya Rajneesh: The Mystic of Feeling was dedicated to Mahipal.
