Neti-Neti (नेति-नेति)

This resonant phrase, literally "not this, not this," and more loosely "neither this nor that," used widely as a tag for a way of discarding psychic debris, was used by Osho in a multitude of ways and situations. Thus many pages could arise about it, which may eventually require disambiguation. For now, this page is about a four-volume series of books created from some of Osho's early discourses.

The four books are presented in different ways by different sources, and usually not all four together but grouped in varied ways. They are:

Satya Ki Khoj (सत्य की खोज, dated by different sources as Jan 16-19, 1970 and Feb 25-27, 1969, likely at a meditation camp. Since all sources indicate five discourses, the first dates are less likely. An outlier possibility is that SKK is the title of two different books, one associated with Neti-Neti and the other not.)

Shunya Ki Naav (शून्य की नाव, dated by only one source, May 2-5, 1968, seven discourses)

Sambhavnaon Ki Aahat (something like सम्भावना कि आहात but precise Devanagari not yet available, undated, seven discourses)

Shunya Ke Paar (शुन्य के पार, undated, four discourses)

The reason these four books are so grouped is not clear but the grouping does happen widely. Thematically, the first three are about meditation, sadhana and so on, the last is said to be a Q&A format. The time span is unknown. More info will be needed.
