Osho made me National Record Holder

I neither scaled the highest mountain nor have I walked through burning valleys. Still my name has been registered as a great achiever of a national record under the aegis of India Book of Records. All it happened out of my gentle madness.

I set a record as Largest Private Collection of Magazines. It can be Googled on WWW or can be checked on page-58 of printed version of India Book Of Records, edition 2013.

Interestingly, I feel great master Osho responsible for making me a record holder while he never favored possession or hoarding.

My story of accumulation can be co-related with a German Scholar about whom mystic Osho often tells in his life-transforming discourses. He was a philosopher who collected, numerous books, one of the greatest libraries in the world, but he could not read a single book in his entire life.

Since my childhood days, I have bought & accumulated about five thousands Newspapers, fifteen hundred antique Magazines & one thousands rare books whilst read a little part of vast collection.

My story is little different from the above mentioned German Philosopher. Actually, in the dirty mud of published material, I had been trying to find something like lotus relevant to life. And certainly I have got it in the form of Osho Periodicals and Books. This way I explored myself. These magazines worked like a pointer, rungs of a ladder or staircase steps, towards meditation.

I went through many philosophical, spiritual and biographical articles etc., I discovered that Osho was the only real and unorthodox life-coach who does not misguide. Beloved Osho has become most important part of my life. It gratifies me that He too was a fond of books as he has read and collected over one-lakh books.

I feel privileged that forty percent of my magazines are Osho periodicals e.g. Rajneesh Foundation Newsletter, Rajneesh Buddha-field Newsletter, Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh, Sannyas, Osho Darshan, Osho Times, Osho World, Amritdham Patrika, Oshjo Bodhistva Times, Yes Osho, Anant Ki Pukar, etc.. Rajneesh Foundtion dated April 1, 1979, is my oldest Osho magazine. I also keep some first issues of Sannyas, Osho World etc.. Now I am in search of Jyoti Shikha & Yukrand, (oldest Osho periodicals) both were published by Life Awakening Centers aka Jeevan Jagriti Kendras.

Some other general magazines like Anand, Sunday, Maaya, Reader's Choice, India Today, Citadel, Week, Life Positive, Aha! Zindagi, First City, Sadhna Path, The Sunday Indian, Hindustan Coverage, Sahitya Prasoon etc. also contain some Osho article or write ups about Osho Commune, Osho events, Osho book launch or reviews. Some of the abovementioned magazines are defunct now. All I bought randomly as I never subscribed any other magazine except Osho's.

I was spellbound to know about that Osho published his own first magazine Prayas (Effort) when he was just fourteen. He was living in Gadarwara in those days. Its contents were hand written with titles & some pages printed in toy press with rubber letters. All articles written by Osho, 3-4 in his own name (Rajneesh Mohan Chandra/RMC), others in the names of his classmates and friends, contain drawings, jokes, poetry, e.g. the folk song Rani Durgawati.

Among my numerous newspapers many keep positive or negative news reports about the most controversial master Osho and his disciples. One third of my total books are rare and antique Osho books. What Is Meditation? by Acharya Rajneesh is my oldest Osho book.

Osho is very gist of my weird collection. Had Osho not been included, I could not have become record holder. Hindustan Times & Veer Arjun wrote on my collection. Dainik Jagran & recently Punjab Kesari published a beautiful report on my record. Many more publications are taking interest to feature me. If you have Osho books or magazines, perhaps you don't have a need to go elsewhere; Osho is enough for who are sensitive at heart and wise at brain. He is a huge ocean of authentic knowledge and thought potential. To me he is the best logician. To my conviction Osho breathes in the heaps of my published material.
