Julian, whose full sannyas name may be simply "Sw Julian", was/is English, and ran Edison, the audio-visual department or "temple" at the Ranch in Oregon. That was the department which was responsible for all the "bugging" that Sheela ordered installed to monitor private conversations, including those of Osho. In running this secret-police-like operation, Julian was said by some[weasel words] to have been the most powerful male in the Ranch regime, though that may not be saying much.
