(Masanori Takahashi : 高橋正則 , best known as Kitarō : 喜多郎)
Setu was born in Japan Feb 1953. He is a composer and multi-instrumentalist who is regarded as a pioneer of New Age music, though he is not limited to that genre. He joined and toured with the Japanese music group Far East Family Band in the 70's, beginning his solo career in 1977. Highlights of his career include the Silk Road series, collaborations with Mickey Hart, Jon Anderson and the Sacred Journey of Ku-Kai series, which have garnered 11 Grammy nominations.
