About: "time period of Osho's original discourses/talks/letters Dec 1976 to Jul 1981 : discourse details"

"Discourse details" might be non-applicable to compilations in general, inasmuch as such links lead to whole years. Whatever.

In particular re this book, i am extremely doubtful that it spans Dec 76 to Jul 81, on both ends. The first DD ever was Hammer on the Rock, which started in Dec 75. My guess is that this particular DD WAS included, so that would be the start date. But even if not, it is beyond inconceivable that NO DD was included from earlier than Dec 76.

And at the other end, Osho's last times of giving sannyas and holding darshans in the ways compiled here were March 81, soon after which he went into silence. (That last DD being Sound of One Hand Clapping.)

All this can possibly be sussed by someone who has the hard copy. If particular DDs are cited for each entry, then great. Otherwise, it is still possible by using the OshoBooks Database, and searching for source books using key phrases. (Names may not work, since they were scrubbed out of the DDs except for those getting name explanations while taking sannyas.) The OshoBooks Database is not officially available but may be found on the net or privately. Its handicaps are that it only works in Windoze (or Mac with suitable PC-Mac translation utility) and it is written in an Antique format that doesn't work on PCs running on Win 7 64-bit or newer. It does work on Win 7 32-bit. Sarlo (talk) 08:57, 5 November 2013 (PST)

Hi Sarlo, that's very sharp. I am the culprit: didn't check what was written earlier.

So. I checked 18 paragraphs, 4 were earlier than Dec 1976. Earliest one was 7601295. To check them all would take about a week...

Indeed, the first darshan diary is Hammer on the Rock, starting 7512105 and the last one is The Sound of One Hand Clapping ending 8103235.

Conclusion:

1. I will change the dates to "About Dec 10, 1975 to March 23, 1981, the whole period of the Darshan Diaries".
2. A link to the discourses is not useful for compilations. We will leave those out.
3. When whole lectures are included in a book's chapters we could link them, but only when we will start doing that on a chapter level. Maybe later.
