Talk:Hammer on the Rock

I have removed this edition:

Year=1976, Publisher=Grove Press, Paperback, ISBN=0-394-17090-3, ISBN-2=0802142605 (both ISBNs same as the 1979 edition)

Seems highly unlikely to exist as an extra edition. Probably a mixup between the 1976 Rajneesh Foundation edition and the 1979 Grove Press edition.

Also, see the Edition notes with the 1979 edition. --Sugit (talk) 09:06, 10 April 2016 (UTC)

Re change of venue from Chuang Tzu Auditorium to Lao Tzu porch, Maneesha makes several references to the porch as the scene of a December darshan in the Prologue to Hammer. This mention of the porch noted by Neeten as part of his research into when Chuang Tzu started operating. He writes:

I've gone through the quotations in Osho Source Book in order to find some clue as to when darshans were moved from the porch to Chuang Tzu. The closest I can get is:
Maneesha is telling that in March 1976 a darshan was in Chung Tzu after Osho had been ill for some days, but they were still usually at the porch.
Devika A. Rosamund (2017) has it that in July 1976 darshans were in Chuang Tzu on a regular basis.
And Maneesha writes that in 1977 all darshans were definitely in Chuang Tzu.
So it seems to me the shift had been made after March 1976 and before July 1976.
If we have a look at sannyas.wiki bibliography, we find 'Hammer on the Rock' (1976), with darshans from December 10th 1975 to January 15th 1976 all located in Chuang Tzu. Which may be inaccurate?? Maneesha mentions the porch in her Prologue.

Neeten adds that his research is ongoing and may be fine-tuned or altered with new findings. Stay fine-tuned! -- doofus-9 18:05, 13 August 2020 (UTC)
