Talk:Krishna: Guru Bhi, Sakha Bhi (कृष्ण : गुरु भी, सखा भी)

About "This small book appears to consist", its first four chapter titles (see TOC below) are all quite similar to those of the last four of Krishna Smriti (कृष्ण स्मृति). And the 5th chapter title appears to correspond to the "extra" one found in its translation, Krishna: The Man and His Philosophy, on the significance of Neo-Sannyas. The overall correspondence is strong enough to make what was written here before about "unique" chapter titles look pretty foolish.

And ... Krishna Guru Bhi is promoted in the back of Ageh Bharti's book Spandana (स्‍पंदन) among a list of four other "ओशो - कृष्ण वाणी" (roughly Osho on Krishna) books published by Diamond. They are:

कृष्णा : जिज्ञासा, खोज, उपलब्धि
कृष्णा साधना रहित सिद्धि
कृष्णा और हंसता हुआ धर्म
साक्षी कृष्णा और रासलीला

Ageh's book was published fwiw in 2003, though G**gle Books says 2004. Who knows if the other books are still in print, but they all are titles unique to Diamond. And they may well hold the other chapters of Smriti. All have the same price, so will all be a similar size.

And i am informed by Shailendra that these titles are indeed the other chapters of Smriti, with 4-5 chapters each, and they are popular books, still around.
One other matter he brought to my attention is that for the Devanagari part of the title, "Krishna" is not कृष्णा but कृष्ण. This is a bigger error than the somewhat sloppy transliteration truism "'a' is often interchangeable with 'aa'" would suggest. In this case, "Krishnaa" is another name for Krishna's sister, also known as Draupadi, so it will be good to get it right. Osho says a number of things about her, somewhat inconsistently, but the whole of ch 11 of Krishna: The Man and His Philosophy is devoted to her and is amazing.
In any case, i will be updating the titles of this book and Krishna Meri Drishti Mein, which has the same misspelling, shortly. -- 05:03, 18 August 2017 (UTC)

About the "2014" edition, Diamond seems to have the practice of just putting their pub year as the edition number. Which is okay, but it avoids making the distinctions often made between editions, such as if the content has been revised. The odd thing about this particular edition is that the "2014" appears not to have been printed but stickered over some other year. Thus it may not be different in any way from previous editions.

And in the standard "do not copy" blah-blah at the bottom, we find "Sadhana Foundation's" name invoked in bold, as if they were once the nominal copyright holders. Or something. -- updated doofus-9 08:11, 17 August 2017 (UTC)
