About Somnath, there were two candidates for ¿What-is-this?, neither of them apparently very likely. Since the letter recipient by all appearances lived in Maharashtra, it was guessed that it was the small village of something-Somnath or Somnath-something in a remote part of MH. Wrong-o. Shailendra has clarified that the well known temple / pilgrimage site in far coastal Gujarat is the one, and that the other two gentlemen mentioned in the letter were organizers of events there and had invited Osho and other speakers there.
