Revisiting the location(s) where Osho wrote and sent this letter from, a small discrepancy arises whereby Osho has hand-written the date the letter was composed (written) but that date is not verified in the postmark. It is not contradicted either ... fact is, the cancellation postmark is totally illegible. BUT ... The time stamp of delivery in Babai for this one is Mar 1, an unusually long time to go from Jabalpur to Babai. Often letters were delivered the next day in the Jabalpur-to-Babai scenario. Perhaps there was a long holiday weekend intervening, or perhaps Osho mailed it -- and it was an inland letter form -- from Delhi or somewhere en route. If it matters. -- doofus-9 19:20, 5 October 2019 (UTC)

Regarding the "apparently hand-made"-ness of the letterhead, a strongly similar and earlier letterhead has come to light which makes us re-think this whole thing. On the one hand, an Inland Letter form cannot have pre-printed personal letterhead. It is created by the Indian Post Office for use by the general public. End of story, yes?

Well, not exactly. At least a further story must be told. Everything about this letterhead and that of [[Letter written on 4 May 1961 am]] suggests they are the same. The forms of the lettering are identical, except those in this letter (Feb 63) are somewhat wispier and ephemeral, which difference could easily be explained by more degradation over time and/or a different photographic process. But the basic design is identical.

As the other is solider and earlier, it can be taken as the archetype for this letterhead; and as for this letter's strong resemblance, who knows? It could have been created by hand as a deliberate copying, or its Inland-letter-ness may be a mistake, or more mysterious forces may account for it. This is not the place to insist on an explanation. It is enough for now to savour the mystery. -- doofus-9 07:10, 19 November 2019 (UTC)

Revisiting the location(s) where Osho wrote and sent this letter from, a small discrepancy arises whereby Osho has hand-written the date the letter was composed (written) but that date is not verified in the postmark. It is not contradicted either ... fact is, the cancellation postmark is totally illegible. BUT ...

Everything about this letterhead and that of Letter written on 4 May 1961 am suggests they are the same.
