Talk:Letter written on 2 or 3 Sep 1963

Two things:
About the "199", it does appear that that's what's there, but one cannot be entirely sure, especially since there is other material showing through from the back side, including some crossed-out material and what may be a three-digit number ending in "1". Solid ground is not to be found with this issue.

Nor is it to be found with nailing down the date with any greater precision than "1963". Still, there are indications: One is the standard one for all the undated letters, to put it between the dates of its immediate neighbours in the file numbers. Another possibility is created by the letterhead type: Simply, the earliest known letter using that letterhead is Feb 19, 1963, and the latest, Jul 16, 1963. So voilà, another possible date range besides the narrow file number limits, Aug 18-22. Perhaps there are other possibilities as well. -- doofus-9 08:46, 13 December 2019 (UTC)

Letter BKBPO p. 241 to Sharda:

"Dear Sharda, Love and blessings. I have returned only yesterday from Bombay and received letter of Ma. You wanted that I might have come to Chanda on 22 August - but could not receive the information. I am pleased to know that fasts have accomplished with the bliss. Only wishing that God gives more peace and light everyday. --- I will be reaching Bhopal in the morning of 1st September. On the same day will also be returning in the night after the talk. It would be nice if this time you come to see Shree Bhikhamachand Ji Deshalhara at Bhopal. Then on 3rd Sep I will be going to Jaipur in the evening. Will talk on 5th and 6th Sep at Jaipur - 8th Sep at Indore. Rest OK. The programs (20-23 Aug and 18-19 Aug) had been good at Bombay and Indore. Bhikhamachand Kothari had reached. --- Blessings to Pararth and pranam to all. Rajneesh Ke Pranam." (translated by Dilip)

Sarlo, please look at last changes in this letter and also in xls Observation of Dilip. Do you agree to change date of letter to Sep 1963? (Dilip propose two dates.)--DhyanAntar 05:59, 6 April 2020 (UTC)

Yes, since you and Dilip are seeing this the same and it is clearly presented by Dilip, this is an easy call. And about changing to "Sep 1963", do you mean that literally or just as a verbal shorthand? I am thinking it could be changed to Dilip's two dates, more precise but still a small unknown; the format could be either "2-3 Sep 1963" or "2 or 3 Sep 1963". We don't do that for single events in general but certainly could here for this. -- doofus-9 21:25, 8 April 2020 (UTC)
