About how the date has been determined ... it was earlier written that "The date is not specified but must be either Apr or Sep-Oct, remains to be determined", this deriving from the fact that Osho has dated it only 1971 but written the location, Mt Abu. In 1971, there were two camps at Mt Abu, in those times.

It can now said to be determined based on the letterhead. Its "bhagwan shree rajneesh" can only have come after he took this name, in late Apr or early May of 1971. Moreover, Punglia's name-paper is so far the earliest known example of this letterhead. And for the final icing on the cake, we have the history of "Sadhu" and "Sadhvi", which forms of taking sannyas were said to have only been introduced at this second camp at Mt Abu, though that last pronouncement may be a bit fatuous, judging by some of the other early name-papers.

So there you have it. -- doofus-9 07:11, 31 March 2020 (UTC)
