Deliberations

Friends, does anyone have possibility to look at title page and colophon in order to check Hindi original book name? As right now we learned that Chetna Ka Surya (चेतना का सूर्य), which title translates as Sun of Consciousness, is first edition, so it may be worth to correct "translated from" field.--DhyanAntar 04:44, 1 April 2019 (UTC)

I just checked the 2006 edition: it does not state it's Hindi source. --Sugit (talk) 08:06, 1 April 2019 (UTC)

Chetna Ka Surya was later published as Yog: Naye Aayam (योग : नये आयाम). Part of the description for that version / title is: "Six talks given in four days in Pune in 1970 in which Osho gives nine new sutras of Yoga". That about nails it, i would think. -- doofus-9 08:14, 1 April 2019 (UTC)

Are you sure, Sarlo? Known most early edition is 1977 of Chetna Ka Surya (चेतना का सूर्य).

I have asked about that, see Talk:Yog: Naye Aayam (योग : नये आयाम) at most bottom. There is no answers, so i changed event names to Chetna.

According to book titles we should leave Yog Naye Aayam as source of translation. This is already correct.--DhyanAntar 08:36, 1 April 2019 (UTC)

Fine with me. I didn't understand that the question was to decide between Chetna Ka Surya and Yog Naye Aayam. The question i thought i was addressing was more basic, for which purposes i considered the two the same. I expect there is an earlier edition than 1977 of one or the other though, perhaps even both.

But there is something odd about this 1977 edition of Chetna Ka Surya. It is almost an "unauthorized" edition, in that it is published by Ishwar Samarpan out of Mumbai rather than RF, which was doing all the publishing by this time. Perhaps Ishwar Samarpan saw that it had never been published, considered this an oversight, and took the initiative, making my expectation above wrong. It's time for him to put out his book. -- doofus-9 17:17, 1 April 2019 (UTC)
