Discussion about the Page

There is a forlorn volume in the second column in 1970 called Early Dialogues. The 1970 Timeline page mentions two chapters (#3 & 4) from this alleged vol but nowhere else can a chapter be found, never mind Early Dialogues. These two talks correspond precisely to two talks specified at Talk:Early Talks but MIA in the Timeline.

Ch 3: Aug 26, 1970, CCI Chambers, Mumbai, no title
Ch 4: Sep 22, 1970, CCI Chambers, Mumbai, no title

Seems a no-brainer to conclude that "Early Dialogues" is a misnomer and should be changed and/or expunged.

Lots more Hindi titles could be added now too. -- doofus-9 15:31, 25 May 2016 (UTC)

About the Early Dialogues: the source of this confusion is maybe the CD-ROM, where the body text has, under Miscellaneous, 11 chapters of Early Talks; but the appendices Listing of Minititles and Titles and Listing of titles to MiniTitles show Early Dialogues (but no Early Talks). --Sugit (talk) 15:51, 25 May 2016 (UTC)

That's all very well but the CD-ROM uses the term "Early Talks" throughout, except in that one Appendix listing, while we use the term rather less systematically, labeling only #3&4 as Early Dialogues, the rest Early Talks. And we don't have Early Dialogues anywhere else but in the mentioned Timeline pages. The CD-ROM also says in the introduction to Early Talks that there are twelve talks but it only supplies eleven. We don't have to accept every word as inviolable. -- doofus-9 16:58, 25 May 2016 (UTC)

Well, I did not mean to say it was very well, I meant the CD-ROM is causing confusion. I do not know all ins and outs, but I'd say drop all mention of Early Dialogues, just use Early Talks. --Sugit (talk) 17:08, 25 May 2016 (UTC)

Okay, sorry if i sounded like i was browbeating. I wanted to a) leave a trail concerning changes and b) get this page changed. I am not empowered to edit this page. -- doofus-9 18:06, 25 May 2016 (UTC)

OK, I believe I can. How do we do this: just remove the Early Dialogues (as the Early Talks are already mentioned in 1969), or repeat the Early Talks in 1970 ? --Sugit (talk) 19:46, 25 May 2016 (UTC)

The pattern seems to be to show a title for each year talks were given, so multi-year series like Prem Ke Phool are entered like seven times, Dhammapada and so on. A lot more Hindi talks could be entered too :-) -- doofus-9 03:13, 26 May 2016 (UTC)

i just made a few changes here:

1) removed links to year-categories. we decided not to use them after all. they were just duplicating the proper timeline.
2) alternating colors for the years for better readability
3) sort in simple alpha order within the years. the page claimed to show the books chronologically, which was *not* the case, nor was it in alpha order. basically a dogs breakfast.

--Rudra 04:57, 28 July 2018 (UTC)

Yes, better.
I was also playing a bit with the lay-out: left column bigger, with links to the years. The colors should then be a little softer actually. And I plead for having the Event Timeline - table both at the top and at the bottom. (This also for the regular Event pages.) --Sugit (talk) 06:08, 28 July 2018 (UTC)

Sarlo, what order is this now? chronological (again)? if so, we need to change the table intro.--Rudra 22:44, 31 July 2018 (UTC)

They are in alphabetical order, just said above the table. Sarlo corrected titles excluding articles (a and the). --DhyanAntar 03:25, 1 August 2018 (UTC)

Certainly as far as the order of entries is concerned, yes, that was the object and hopefully the result, ie alpha order not only preserved but corrected. There were a few other unrelated details in that edit. -- doofus-9 18:18, 3 August 2018 (UTC)

Right now the list of events on main page (Osho Events) is incorrect. I corrected "Bhaj Govindam" and Geeta series and think there are more incorrections.--DhyanAntar 12:38, 10 February 2019 (UTC)

Replaced all titles according existing book pages: with "(2)", "Vol 1" and etc. So there are differences in event names (i say about individual event pages with "~") and mentioned event names, the example is "series" and "Vol"; another example is 4vols of "The Book of the Books" used instead "The Dhammapada". Or maybe better to drop Vol post-fix as was before? But i see Hindi titles have Bhag in the end.

There have been added also Anuual World Celebrations series.

Removed "(The Silent Period, Rajneesh Times)": as these are not events.

It is necessary to correct titles for following events: "Nothing to Lose But Your Head" -->"Nothing to Lose but Your Head" (as book title)

Any objections on my made corrections?--DhyanAntar 08:27, 12 February 2019 (UTC)

I changed event-names to "Nothing to Lose but Your Head" --Sugit (talk) 13:51, 14 February 2019 (UTC)

Additional notes Event series like "<q&a>" or "<Kabir>" are incomplete, i.e. not for all titles. It is necessary to add the rest.--DhyanAntar 11:12, 15 February 2019 (UTC)
