Talk:Path Ki Khoj ~ 05

The main event here is the move from "Sinhanad ~ 01". Few event pages have a long history, and this event is no exception, but long before Sinhanad was widely known as discourse #5 in PKK, it was an influential single-discourse booklet. Why should it not retain that prominence when it comes to event names?

The rationale goes like this:

1. That prominence was long ago. It has been many years since, as Chapter 15 of Sadhana Path (साधना पथ), "Sinhanad" has simply been called "Path Ki Khoj". More recently, in five-, six- or seven-chapter editions of Path Ki Khoj, chapter 5 is just called "Path Ki Khoj", without any ceremony. It is PKK's "title chapter", around which the rest of the book revolves. Thus it is still prominent but not under the name of "Sinhanad".
2. Under the Event-Name Rules, preference should be given to how a discourse is first known, especially if that is the name of a real book. Over fifty years ago, Sinhanad was published a month before the full -- then five chapters, with Sinhanad the fifth -- version of PKK was published. How important can that "seniority" be now?
As 4th edition of PKK of publisher JJK has only one chapter, then all 3 previous editions of JJK most likely had 1 chapter too. Next known edition with more than one chapter is Pushpi edition (with 6 chapters).--DhyanAntar 08:22, 5 May 2020 (UTC)
3. The recently discovered clincher: Talks for chapters 2-5 of PKK were given in barely more than 24 hours. They are clearly a unified, cohesive set. That Sinhanad was extracted and made more prominent way back when cannot detract from that.

Thus has "Sinhanad"/"PKK ~ 05" become the precedent for the latest guideline in the Event-Name Rules game: "When unclear under above rules, pick a name that best describes the discourse, reckons with how it is generally known and under what name it is available, and also keeps the number of different 'series' to a minimum". Agree with above.--DhyanAntar 08:22, 5 May 2020 (UTC)
