The CD-ROM has text of press conferences 1 - 8 and 10 - 11, so 9 is missing. But there is in fact an audio recording named #9, which is different from what is in the CD-ROM.

- Sugit

my version of the CDROM has 3 TV interviews (6 to 8) not 4. the missing (audio #9) is from India (i just listened to it). --Rudra (talk) 17:57, 10 October 2014 (PDT)

Only one known edition - CD-ROM - has 10 chapters, as said before and on main page too, but CD has no chapter titles at all. So i removed them from the TOC.--DhyanAntar 03:05, 16 March 2019 (UTC)

Those chapter titles have been found in the OIF text and audio libraries at osho.com. There may be more like these, in case the CD-ROM had no titles. --Sugit (talk) 08:00, 16 March 2019 (UTC)

We can't use edition CD-ROM and state ch.titles in TOC table from other sources.--DhyanAntar 09:21, 16 March 2019 (UTC)

You have certainly a point there. In the spreadsheet where I worked on the ch.titles I preferred a title (from any source) above "no title", because having a title is informative for what it is about. A solution could be to put a ** after the ch.title. But leaving it out is also fine for me. --Sugit (talk) 10:29, 16 March 2019 (UTC)

Press Conference event type

Mahendra comments:

  • The events in Sanai Grove (earlier Jesus Grove) were called “interviews”. Media people could apply for an interview and then they were given a chance to have a longer talk with Osho. As you can see in Sanai Grove videos, he was sitting very close to the journalists in a distance of perhaps two or three meters. The media people sat in a chair. There were long intros and outros, when Osho was dancing his way in and out of the room. The interviews started in July 85 and happened almost daily until Osho left for Charlotte. As far as I recall they started always in late afternoon. So the intro happened in daylight and the outro in darkness.
  • The morning talks in Mandir were called “discourses”.
  • The extra events in Mandir were called “press conferences”. There were five of them and they were called only for a special purpose. Many media people were invited to participate and seated together on the floor. Then each of them could ask questions. There was a microphone on a long stand and people were asking questions standing up - looking up to Osho, who was sitting on the podium. So the setup and procedure in the press conferences was distinctly different from the interviews in Sanai Grove. I recall that the press conferences happened in the afternoon, but there might have been exceptions."
I suggest that you introduce a new type called “press conference” on Osho Timeline 1985 page and change the type of all five press conferences accordingly.

The type "press conference" described by Mahendra fits for: #1-2, 4-5. 9th also can be attributed to this type, although place is New Delhi. #10-11 can be also press conferences, i can't judge them: only audios are available. For jail talks (#6-8): i can say nothing, only text are available for them.

Type interview belongs to: #3. CD-ROM is wrong with place for it: video shows clearly that it is Sanai Grove, not Mandir.

5th was in in the evening (consulted with video), not in afternoon as CD-ROM says.

I checked videos of above talks, and others don't have videos.--DhyanAntar 05:13, 7 February 2021 (UTC)
