Talk:Tao Upanishad, Bhag 3 (ताओ उपनिषद, भाग तीन)

Discourse dates provisional, per "Doc X", may not be 100% accurate. They are Jul 17-23, Aug 16-22 and Nov 25 - Dec 1, 1972, have not checked for conflicts with 1972 Discourses page, sorry.

also cover image duplication persists -- Sarlo (talk) 08:22, 27 January 2014 (PST)

Dates now checked against 1972 Discourses page, no conflicts. Possibly they were all at the same place as the earlier Tao Ups, Immortal Study Circle, which could be noted as being in Bombay, where Doc X says vols 1-4 were. And so it came to pass that Vol 3's dates have been entered provisionally in the 1972 Timeline page with details as above. -- updated doofus-9 (talk) 05:23, 24 April 2015 (UTC)

TOC below is from the audiobook places, osho.com and Osho World. Titles are the same in each except in four cases. For those keeping score, the comparison yields a tie in this vol, two-two. The discourse numbering is also the same, with numbers going from 1 to 127 over the six volumes of this mega-series, with each volume comprising 21 talks except for the first one, which has 22. Thus this volume is numbered from 44 to 64. -- doofus-9 05:17, 9 April 2017 (UTC)

There is also the question of the venue, which up to now has been "Immortal Study Circle, Bombay" for possibly every Tao Up discourse given before the move to Pune, which is to say this volume and Bhags 1, 2 and 4. The D&P info from Jagdish suggests this "study circle" is not actually a venue. (See the D&P images in the Talk pages for Bhag 1, Bhag 2 and Bhag 4 to get the complete picture.)

The venues will be updated to reflect Jagdish's understanding here. For a thorough discussion of the ins and outs of this, see Bhag 4's Talk page.

Note also the Q&A discourses, popping up regularly at the end of each seven-talk round. This is also the case in Bhags 2 and 4. In other Bhags, they are less regular, but when they do come, it seems to be at the end of a seven-talk cycle. -- doofus-9 00:20, 28 January 2019 (UTC)

Nov 27 (Bhag 3 #17) changed in the Timeline from am (above) to pm. For explanation see Talk:Osho's Itinerary#The Nov 1972 - Feb 1973 News. "am" from Jagdish may be a typo. Also in the Itinerary talk page in the same section is the beginning of an exploration of "study circle". Not a venue. -- doofus-9 07:38, 24 May 2019 (UTC)

For 21-22 Aug it is stated in Timeline 19:00 according Itinerary source. 8:15 pm frim Jagdish seems incorrect copy from 19-20 Aug dates.

1975 ed mentions dates without exact time.--DhyanAntar 07:46, 2 January 2021 (UTC)

Conclusion: Jagdish's info is partly confirmed by the Itinerary and looks correct, altough a few typos are presented.--DhyanAntar 08:28, 22 September 2022 (UTC)
