The 500-px image looks too big to me. It overwhelms the searchable text portion, especially for those with low-res screens, plus its basic whiteness bleeds into the background colour of the text portion and looks messy. I propose we experiment with lots of variations until we get something that works for all of us.

A border on the image, such as that created by the "thumb" function will provide a separation from the text. What text in the thumb/caption? I put a generic "click to enlarge", but something more specific? And trying a 300-px size. Perhaps size could be variable to suit the amount of text it will be complementing.

About the bg colour, lots of experimenting can happen with that, or not. I am aiming for a different, more reddish colour for the sannyasin letters, so maybe don't go red here.

I also prefer the 800-px box for the letter rather than the full page width, makes the page more spacious imo, but i am not attached to that.
