Talk:That Art Thou
All 51 discourses of the three camps, which That Art Thou and the three corresponding Hindi Upanishad series record, are given in Hindi and English mixed, to varying degrees. Books have separated the two languages but audio retains those mixtures, at least at Osho World, thusly:
- #1 is completely mixed, #2 and #3 also a lot
- #4 - #11 have 3 - 4 English parts.
- #12 - #51 have one Hindi and one English part.
- Discourses are 1 - 2 hours long, of which 25 - 50 min are English.
These three camps were the first in which English was spoken extensively. It can be seen that the mixture of languages was experimental and evolved toward more separation. It appears that at subsequent camps, mixing discontinued, with possibly the following limited exceptions at the next two camps:
- Anandshila, Feb 1973: Only Hindi was used for the discourse series, Samadhi Ke Sapt Dwar (समाधि के सप्त द्वार), but it appears that extensive meditation instructions and talk about them were given in both languages. Whether they were mixed or separate is not known.
- Mt Abu, Apr 1973: Sadhana-Sutra (साधना-सूत्र) and The New Alchemy: To Turn You On covered similar a thematic ground, so it is possible that they were mixed in some limited way. -- doofus-9 (talk) 16:56, 14 April 2015 (UTC)
Chapter titles: they are untitled in the book, neither in Contents, nor in text. The book has three parts, titles as "Sarvasar Upanishad", "Kaivalya Upanishad" and "Adhyatma Upanishad". All 51 chapters are just numbered and without titles. So i am going to correct wiki TOC according physical copy of the book. Any objections and arguments?
And i assume titles should be capitalized (second word after hyphen with capital), i.e. "Twenty-One".--DhyanAntar 16:49, 2 January 2022 (UTC)
@Antar: There is no absolute necessity to have the exact same "title" as in the book, if adding something clarifies the situation. But in this case I think it would be OK to just mention a number, as long as the part "Sarvasar Upanishad" etc. is then moved to after "Part 1 - ". That info is important so should be very clear!
