(*1) Beginning and end of both audios match but osho.com version on 16min longer than OW version. It is strange.

Deliberations

See Update(s) page bottom for the latest version of Trisha Gai's antecedents.

Title is rendered in various ways in the Roman/Latin alphabet, variations including Trusha, Trasha, Gayi, Gayee and Bund.

Dates are unknown but Neeten's Osho Source Book has a couple of suggestive indications: In his Jabalpur section, he cites a quote from chap 1 of Trisha dated Jan 1969. And in his Appendix, a mention of four discourses titled Shanti Ki Khoj from Jan 30 to Feb 2 of that year given in Bombay. A couple of things about that: "Shanti Ki Khoj" is the title of a book consisting of answers given to Ma Anand Urmila in Jabalpur in 1966 and shouldn't really be in Bombay in 1969. And the other thing, "Shanti Ki Khoj" is the title of the first chapter of Trisha -- see below. So taken together, it is highly suggestive of talks for the book at least starting then.

Different sources have this book published in 1997, 2000 and 2003, and its translation, The Search for Peace, mentions 1998 as copyright- and publication-date. Osho Media International is also named as the publisher.-- Sarlo (talk) 20:03, 4 August 2014 (PDT)

Table of Contents:

1: शांति की खोज
2: सात चक्रों की साधना
3: संकल्प की कुंजी
4: सत्य की छाया है शांति
5: सत्य की खोज
6: परमात्मा की अनुभूति
7: जागरण के तीन सूत्र

The translation The Search for Peace says: "Extemporaneous talks given by Osho in Mumbai, India". And the translation has 4 chapters. --Sugit (talk) 18:29, 8 October 2015 (UTC)

Since "Shanti Ki Khoj" basically translates as "The Search for Peace", this should just about nail it, except Search for Peace and "Shanti Ki Khoj" (as pointed to in Neeten's Appendix) have only four discourses / chapters. Okay, we can say that that covers four of the seven chapters of Trisha Gai, but what about the other three?

We can consider chapter titles. Translated chapter titles are not often faithful to their original titles but ya never know. Below are rough translations of Trisha Gai's seven titles above. Do they (four of them, maybe the first four) resemble those in Search for Peace?

1: Search for Peace
2: Meditation on the Seven Chakras
3: The Key to Resolution
4: Peace is the Shadow of Truth
5: Search for Truth
6: Experience of the Divine
7: Three Sutras for Awakening

FWIW, "Search for Truth" shows up in Neeten's Appendix as a single discourse ("Satya Ki Khoj") on Oct 2, 1968 in Mulund, a 'burb of Mumbai, but neither of the last two show up anywhere. May not mean anything, as search for truth is a fairly common theme. -- doofus-9 01:08, 25 October 2015 (UTC)

Indeed, The Search for Peace seems to contain the first four chapters of this book. For the TOC see Talk:The Search for Peace.

Chapter titles 2 - 4 are about the same, chapter one's title is different but starts with a lot of talk about peace. --Sugit (talk) 20:34, 29 October 2015 (UTC)

Origins

Source for the TOC above was not noted but we can say that as of Apr 2017, Osho World's audiobook offering does have these seven titles, so at the very least, it can stand in for them. We can also note that osho.com's audiobook offering only has the first four, the group relating to "Shanti Ki Khoj". Taken together with the four-chapter translation The Search for Peace and Neeten's citation of four talks collectively called Shanti Ki Khoj, we have a fairly solid basis for going with a suggestion from Shailendra that SKK was in fact the original title of Trisha Gai.

So much so that i think we should run with it, even though there is already another book with that title. -- doofus-9 05:47, 14 April 2017 (UTC)

Further information from Shailendra: "Shanti Ki Khoj" was the name given to the four-day camp in Mumbai which ran from Jan 30 to Feb 2, 1969. Its four talks were first published simply as Shanti Ki Khoj and then became the first four chapters of Trisha Gai. The other three chapters come from Jeevan Satya Ki Khoj (जीवन सत्य की खोज). These are the "surviving" three chapters of that small book, which originally had four talks. Its orphaned fourth talk apparently has been incorporated into Chit Chakmak Lage Nahin (चित चकमक लागै नहीं) as the mysterious 7th chapter there.

The three talks remaining in Jeevan Satya do have the same titles as these last three of Trisha Gai, which is satisfying. Shailendra also offers some speculation as to the date and location of those talks:

5: सत्य की खोज = Satya Ki Khoj given 2 Oct 1968 Mulund (guess work, may not be true) [as also speculated above]
6: परमात्मा की अनुभूति = ??? No guess work???
7: जागरण के तीन सूत्र = Jagran Ke Dwar Ki teen Kunji given 8 Sept. 1967 Bombay (guess work, may not be true)

We have Dates and Places now for Jeevan Satya's three relevant talks, see the talk page there for details. They appear to have come from a mini-camp in Porbandar GJ, as follows:

Jeevan Satya's #1, corresponding to Trisha Gai's #5 -- Mar 11 1969 am in Porbandar
Jeevan Satya's #1, corresponding to Trisha Gai's #6 -- Mar 11 1969 pm in Porbandar
Jeevan Satya's #1, corresponding to Trisha Gai's #7 -- Mar 12 1969 am in Porbandar

So the guesses above do not work this time. The source of the D&P for Jeevan Satya also verifies the connection with Trisha Gai.

And while we're here, the speculation about Jeevan Satya's possible relationship with Chit Chakmak should also be squelched. This has less to do with Jeevan Satya's new info than with Chit Chakmak's new info, also recently received. From that, it is more or less clear that Chit Chakmak's 7th chapter would be very unlikely to have come from anywhere else but a continuation of the Chit Chakmak camp. No other series' stray orphan is needed to complete it. -- doofus-9 22:01, 27 December 2018 (UTC)

This 4th talk of Jeevan Satya is published at least in 2014 edition by OMI. And it appeares also on osho.com library, so i glued event to it with Jeevan Satya series.--DhyanAntar 15:16, 8 May 2020 (UTC)
