All the English-language early letters collections have their dates entered into the Timeline except for this one and The Dimensionless Dimension. Are the dates not available? And this book is also not in The Spreadsheet with its friends. -- doofus-9 (talk) 04:38, 20 April 2015 (UTC)

And, okay, so all the other letter-collections have all dated letters and this one doesn't, and there's no complicated edition story so it doesn't need to go in the Spreadsheet so it looks like that's that, unless someone finds the original letters or Sandeh. Aug 1971 is a fairly decent limiter, with late 1970 being the other limiter.
In fact, one could quite reasonably venture a much narrower time frame for these letters. The other four English letter-collections of this era are:
- The Eternal Message : Apr 17 - May 30 1971
- The Gateless Gate : Aug 17 1970 - May 16 1971
- The Silent Music : Apr 19 - May 25 1971
- Turning In (letters) : Apr 20 - May 29, 1971
Only twelve of The Gateless Gate's thirty dates are before the otherwise exceedingly tight frame of Apr 14 - May 30 1971, according to both the Timeline and the Spreadsheet (which may not be very independent). It's easy to imagine him on a roll, and considering the thematic nature of this collection, all to one person, it could easily fit into this time frame as well. The "reasoning" is of course only speculative, but that said, it is based on WIM's natural cohort, the other booklets of letters written in English of a demonstrably similar vintage. Flowers of Love is omitted because it was written in Hindi to a whole different group of people over a long time. Westerners were not coming to see him -- with rare exceptions -- until he moved to Mumbai in 1970, and this is when they started getting his attention in the form of English letters. About the thing on p 54, this is very likely the same text about Osho as in six other books of that era, by Sw Yoga Chinmaya, first appearing in Dec 1970 in Flight of the Alone to the Alone (interviews). -- doofus-9 17:35, 4 January 2016 (UTC)
According to the Lao Tzu Library Book List, the second edition has been published in 1973. Neeten's Osho Source Book puts the publication date in 1972 or 1973. --Sugit (talk) 17:57, 3 May 2016 (UTC)
- In Bibliography section (of OSB) he states Dec 1973 and gives 58p. for that edition
A small picky point: Siddharth gets Printer credit in the first ed but name is misspelled as Siddarth. I have left it in case it is actually this way in the book (so we leave it as it was there) but "corrected" it in the red-link. Did you photocopy the colophon?
