To whom it may concern:

I am writing this letter in support of Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh’s application for resident status.

After studying for several years at Wayne State University and the University of Michigan, I completed the degree of Dipl. Psych, in Clinical Psychology in Munich, Germany in 1976.

Thereafter I had my own practice in psychotherapy in Munich and was also functioning as an associate of Count Karlfried von Duerckheim’s organization, renowned for his integration of Zen-Buddhist approaches and practices with Western Psychotherapy.

In 1979, I began to study the written works of Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh and realized that his highly sophisticated and innovative approaches towards the mind and mental problems are not only of immens value and practicability in my own work in the field of clinical psychology, but furthermore represent a contribution to the understanding of human psychology of a magnitude, which can only be compared to that of S. Freud and C.G. Jung.

Having visited the center at Rajneeshpuram, I am convinced that even while keeping silence, his presence, his work and his writings are of major value for a flourishing in the understanding of human psychology in the United States and the world.
