This letter is one of a remarkable series of over 2650 letters amassed in 1983 to support Osho's attempt to get permanent resident status in the US at the time of the Oregon ranch. Information about their collection of these letters and other supporting material -- the "Jeffrey Noles Rajneesh Collection", named for Osho's immigration lawyer Jeffrey Noles, who compiled them in 1983 and donated them to the OHS -- can be found at this page. The wiki is grateful to the OHS for making access available for these documents. For more information and links to all the letters, see Testimonial letters.

Hamburg, Juli 19, 1983

TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN

I declare that Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh is immensely important for me in my work.

I became acquainted with Him in 1976 when I started to read some of His books. I was very impressed by His exceptional abilities and His wide knowledge. In 1981 I started practicing His meditations and in 1983, June, I saw Him for the first time personally in Rajneeshpuram, Oregon. I was deeply touched. I felt that I had made contact with a man who was much more than a good author with a wide range of knowledge in sciences and arts. Bhagwan is a man of wisdom and a great religious leader. He opened my heart, my soul - silently! It was a silent communion from heart to heart. Since I connected with Bhagwan I feel more relaxed and more creative.

I started at the University of Hamburg and have a degree in Mathematical Linguistics and Political Science. For several years I was a leader of many group-dynamic workshops in the Georg-August Universitat, Gottingen. Since six years I am reporter of "Bild"-Zeitung, Europe's biggest newspaper, (daily circulation 6.5 mill.). Last year I worked in Istanbul, Turkey, helping to develop a new Turkish newspaper: "Gunes" , (daily circulation 600,000). Presently I write for the Seewald/Molden Verlag, a book about PSl: how to develop the human abilities of telepathie, clairvoyance, telekinese, healing etc. Especially for this task I receive great inspiration from Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh. He is a great teacher. By His many books He influences all aspects of the sciences and arts and more and more people are being transformed by His love and wisdom.
