This letter is one of a remarkable series of over 2650 letters amassed in 1983 to support Osho's attempt to get permanent resident status in the US at the time of the Oregon ranch. The image is reproduced here with the kind permission of The Oregon Historical Society. Information about their collection of these letters and other supporting material -- the "Jeffrey Noles Rajneesh Collection", named for Osho's immigration lawyer Jeffrey Noles, who compiled them in 1983 and donated them to the OHS -- can be found at this page. The wiki is grateful to the OHS for making access available for these documents. For more information and links to all the letters, see Testimonial letters.

This letter is from K. K. Kapoor. It is "Exhibit A-557" in the Noles collection.

The text version below has been created by optical character recognition (OCR), from the images supplied by OHS. It has not been checked for errors but this process usually results in over 99% correct transcription. Most apparent "errors" are correct transcriptions of typos already in the original. TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN

I had the opportunity to hear Bhagwan Rajneesh through his tapes -discourses on various spiritual subjects. This was my first experience in life that I found lot of spirituality in his sayings. While his discourses were on, there was pin drop slince, even through there were children and ladies in the gathering.

I have heard quite many other Indian small Gurus but always felt disappointed. It was Bhagwan Rajneesh who really impressed me on hearing him just through his tapes.

I consider it my bad luck that I cannot have his 'Darshan' as he has shifted his headquarters to USA. If I ever had enough resources, I shall surely visit USA to have his 'Darshan'.

I have no hesitation to say that he has been the greatest spiritual Guru who could make people far better citizens. I can with confidence say that whoever listens to his discourses/tapes even only once, he would place him as one of the leading lights/spiritual lights of India.
