This letter is one of a remarkable series of over 2650 letters amassed in 1983 to support Osho's attempt to get permanent resident status in the US at the time of the Oregon ranch. The image is reproduced here with the kind permission of The Oregon Historical Society. Information about their collection of these letters and other supporting material -- the "Jeffrey Noles Rajneesh Collection", named for Osho's immigration lawyer Jeffrey Noles, who compiled them in 1983 and donated them to the OHS -- can be found at this page. The wiki is grateful to the OHS for making access available for these documents. For more information and links to all the letters, see Testimonial letters.

Gent, 19th July 1983.

To whom it may concern,

I work in a secundary school with pupils from twelve till sixteen. 1 teach ethics and several disciplines in language such as dutch grammar, literature and drama. I am a member of a workshop for renewal of teachingabilities. I also work on the redaction of a magazine about language teaching.

For my work 1 read a lot and more specifically I am very interested in new ways of thinking. So I made acquaintance with Bhagwan Shree Rajneeshes books. His thoughts and vision on creativity have been very usefull to me in my schoolpractice. On the other hand my personal life was influenced by his insights on modern psychotherapeutic techniques. To me Bhagwan’s work is of great importance because of its universality.

Yours sincerely,
Linda Van Der Auwera
