To Whom It May Concern:

I am Brazilian, economist, graduated in 1971 by the Faculty of Political and Economical Sciences of the University of Rio de Janeiro, Master’s Degree in Production Engineering by the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro in 1972, and Master's Degree in Business by the Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro in 1976.

I work as economist since 1973 for the National Bank for Economic and Social Development, main organ for economic and social development of the Brazilian Government. My professional experience is in the field of analysis of feasibility studies for investments in the areas of infrastructure of urban centers, infrastructures in general for the analysis of enterprise structures.

I knew Bhagwan Shree Rjaneesh, his religious teachings through books which are well known in Brazil. His simple and clear teachings transformed me into a more honest person with myself, and with other people, more conscious, which has been a great contribution to my work and my life. I believe Bhagwan is the greatest alive Master and religious professor and his religious teachings are an invaluable contribution to the growth of humanity.

From the standpoint of economic science, I found in the teachings of Bhagwan and the work of his disciples, under his inspiration the best example of how a society can grow utilizing adequately the low production factors, achieving very high levels of productivity. Here in Rajneeshpuram, the discussions very common among economists of developing countries, regarding the choice of the best technology to be applied for the adequate use of the existing factors, became idle. And that is because the technology when applied meditatively, that is, with awareness and love, achieves surprising results, due to the maximization of the potential of each one of the production factors.

Here the chosen technology is used in a creative way thus optimizing the production function as I have never seen anywhere or read in any existing literature. And I have never read in the great economic philosophers what Bhagwan has been teaching us every day: add awareness to the economic activity and any society will be able to achieve high levels of wealth and welfare which is the utmost objective of all people of all nations. From the standpoint of the science of business administration, the teachings of Bhagwan show us how love in the relationship within the enterprise enables an organization to achieve high levels of efficiency.

I could observe here, as I have never seen anywhere in the last 10 years of experience with the various types of organizations, that the adequate business planning, the choice of the best managerial structure and the most efficient system of information are not sufficient for the well functioning of the used system. All this exists here, plus a total respect and love for the work of each one and for the communal work. This respect and love, derived from the teachings and permanent inspiration of Bhagwan are the touch which make the organizational business of Rajneeshpuram something unique and different. It is something which can be done by any enterprise, of any size, in any country in the world. In this sense, I believe the contribution of Bhagwan as very valuable to the science of organization.

To this man, beautiful, sweet and compassionate, I owe my inspiration, my life and the love which I dedicate to my work. He teaches me to live and to work with awareness, and I feel very proud, grateful and happy to be among his thousands of disicples in our ways of peace, aiming to build a world of love.
