This letter is one of a remarkable series of over 2650 letters amassed in 1983 to support Osho's attempt to get permanent resident status in the US at the time of the Oregon ranch. The image is reproduced here with the kind permission of The Oregon Historical Society.  Ma Prem Amrit To Whom It May Concern After I finished school with my Bachelor Degree 1979, I worked in a hospital for disturbed children. As a student in Psychology I was interested in different ways of therapy, so I went to Poona in March 1980 to see Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh and to absolvate a few therapy groups. Although I knew many psychologists, therapists and doctors, I was overwhelmed by the groupleaders I found in Poona. I did not see any other psychologist who had so much knowledge of human beings and who could work in such a brilliant and loving way with people. For me the reason is Bhagwan’s extraordinary ability to make a psychic healthy, sensitive and happy person out of a human being. By personal talks with Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh I can only confirm again what kind of extraordinary potential this man has. After a few months I decided to become a disciple of Bhagwan and I still am since 3 years. For my work and surrounding my decision means that I can help people with much more knowledge, patience and love. Psychic hospitals and psychiatrists would not be necessary if our society, with that I mean each human being would learn from Bhagwan’s knowledge. I would be very happy and proud if such a man would live in my country. As a daughter of a doctor who is running a hospital and as a student in psychology I think that I have enough education, background and the ability to be critical, to decide that Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh is a man who has an immense potential to teach and help humanity. Right now I am in Rajneeshpuram for the festival and I only see happy beautiful people, full of energy and joy. All these people will take home this immense love and peace they have got here. They will bring it back to their families, to their friends to their place where they are working. In fact I can only talk about myself but I am sure that everyone of Bhagwan’s disciples will share what he has got here. It is impossible not to do. And it is only Bhagwan's inspiration that is creating this beautiful place so that people can learn from him and grow. Why do people miss that opportunity? Ma Prem Amrit |
