Testimonial letter from Ma Prem Goldie
This letter is one of a remarkable series of over 2650 letters amassed in 1983 to support Osho's attempt to get permanent resident status in the US at the time of the Oregon ranch. The image is reproduced here with the kind permission of The Oregon Historical Society.  ANAND DAVID ASSOCIATES To whom it may concern: Hello, my name is Prem Goldie. I am a special education teacher, working for Los Angeles unified Schools, holding three special credentials and a masters in Human Development. I am writing on behave of Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh. I have had contact with this religious leader for the past eight years through my father. By traveling to India, in 1980, I had the astounding priviledge to sit with him and experience the most transforming religious experience of my life thus far. When returning to America after eight months of being in the presence of Bhagwan, I returned to my teaching as a disciple of Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh. My personal relationship with Bhagwan, in my opinion, is not appropriate, as any religion, in the public school. On the other hand, I found my level of teaching had reached different monumental stages after I had evolved to greater depths within. During the past year, I was nominated as teacher of the year for LA schools and my class won the best citizenship sward for the entire school. Both accomplishments were a direct correlation of inner growth on the part of myself and the children. Personally, I have only one religion, with only one master and that is Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh. Now in silence, I have found a deeper commune with myself and a richer religious experience. There is no a question that Bhagwan is a spiritual and religious leader for whom has contributed to my life more than is justifiable in words. With hopes that you will not only read the words of this letter but go beyond them. Thank you for your time.
