To whom it may concern

Berlin 16th July, 1983

I am an author, I studied modern and classical german languages and politics, and have published several articles, essays etc. and two books ( Karin Petersen: Das fette Jahr. Novel. Verlag Kiepenheuer & Witsch. Karin Petersen/Ma Prem Pantho: Ich will nicht mehr von dir,als du mir geben magst. Monate in Poona und Oregon. Rowohlt Verlag).

I am a disciple of Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh since 1980. My letter is meant to convince you that with Bhagwan an undiscovered treasure is living in your country, and that all your efforts should lead towards giving this extraordinary religious teacher and mystic a permanent stay in your country, and to support his work and the work of his commune in Rajneeshpuram, Oregon.

I have come to know Bhagwan by reading his books which show an immense knowledge of all modern and classical theories, philosophies, psychologies, poetry and mystic, and this knowledge is given with the knowing of a loving heart. I was overwelmed to read his teachings. They are the culminating point of all my literary longing for truth and depth, and his language is of an uncredible poetry, breathing the air of love in every word.- So, I went to Poona and became his disciple. My life and my work have changed a lot .since then. There is more joy, more love, more depth and beauty in my work, and I feel an immense gratitude to my teacher and master.

I have been to both Annual World Celebrations in Rajneeshpuram, I just returned from the last. Please, listen: There is a miracle happening in your country, a commune of love, a desert is flowering, 15 000 people have come together within the radius of Bhagwan’s love and all are blooming, opening their hearts, returning to their home countries and carrying love all over the world.

So, even if you cannot open your heart to the spiritual dimension of Bhagwan’s work, look at his qualities as an extraordinary author and teacher, who has published nearly 400 books, translated in all languages, who has over 250 000 beautiful disciples all over the world, coming together for an international festival of love and joy in your country once a year.

So please, don’t let him go. Support this beautiful flower in your many coloured garden of various nationalities, cultures and religions.
