This letter is one of a remarkable series of over 2650 letters amassed in 1983 to support Osho's attempt to get permanent resident status in the US at the time of the Oregon ranch. The image is reproduced here with the kind permission of The Oregon Historical Society. Information about their collection of these letters and other supporting material -- the "Jeffrey Noles Rajneesh Collection", named for Osho's immigration lawyer Jeffrey Noles, who compiled them in 1983 and donated them to the OHS -- can be found at this page. The wiki is grateful to the OHS for making access available for these documents. For more information and links to all the letters, see Testimonial letters.

This letter is from Ma Veetgyan (Ingrid Bingisser). It is "Exhibit A-155" in the Noles collection.

The text version below has been created by optical character recognition (OCR), from the images supplied by OHS. It has not been checked for errors but this process usually results in over 99% correct transcription. Most apparent "errors" are correct transcriptions of typos already in the original. The image on the right in the text box links to a pdf file of the original letter, it has one page.

20 July 1983

TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN.

Before I met Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh, I had been practicing for five years as a teacher in Switzerland. I saw how our school did not fulfill the needs of the children and how criminal tendencies already began at such an early child age, because children are treated in a very wrong way. It frightened me to think that all these wrongly treated children would create our future society.

Then I met Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh and became one of his disciples.

Back in Switzerland I went on teaching with the help of my Master's religious message and meditations. For three years now I've been doing just that and extraordinary things are happening. My work is to take over school classes with the very difficult, the so-called "criminal children" no teacher wants to handle any more.

And using Bhagwan's concepts and meditation techniques I have no problems teaching these children or teenagers (from the ages of 7 to 17) all kinds of subjects. They become soft, loving, attentive and interested in the subjects; they are no more interested in teasing the teacher, in fighting or stealing.

I see that is happening only because I'm working with Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh as my inspiration.

A totally new society without criminals could be created if Bhagwan's messages would reach more and more teachers.
