Testimonial letter from Ma Yoga Mukta
This letter is one of a remarkable series of over 2650 letters amassed in 1983 to support Osho's attempt to get permanent resident status in the US at the time of the Oregon ranch. The image is reproduced here with the kind permission of The Oregon Historical Society.  This letter is unusual in that it is handwritten but a typed copy accompanied it, so a transcription IS available .... Ma Yoga Mukta TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN I have been a sannyasin of Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh for over twelve years, first in Bombay then Poona and now at Rajneeshpuram. Though twelve years have gone by, every day is a new experience and a new revelation to the wonder of this mystical master who helps me open unending doors to my inner and true self, unending doors to the beauty of love. I used to live in New York as a society woman, married to a very wealthy shipping family with a very prominent political name, prominent not only in Greek politics but worldwide also. But I tell you, psycologically it was a dead end. Being of Greek background I was always interested in philosophy and the mystery of oneself. So I read a lot and finally came to know of and become a disciple of Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh. When He came to the United States and was finally convinced to remain with us in Rajneeshpuram, I was overjoyed, thinking that this country with its vast interests in all fields, psycology, art, science, poetry, religion and philosophy would welcome such a genius such an exceptional teacher.. He has truly the ability to uplift human consciousness. If you allow him to remain in the United States, your contribution to this country will be immeasurable. Humanity will be forever grateful.
