This letter is one of a remarkable series of over 2650 letters amassed in 1983 to support Osho's attempt to get permanent resident status in the US at the time of the Oregon ranch. The image is reproduced here with the kind permission of The Oregon Historical Society. Information about their collection of these letters and other supporting material -- the "Jeffrey Noles Rajneesh Collection", named for Osho's immigration lawyer Jeffrey Noles, who compiled them in 1983 and donated them to the OHS -- can be found at this page. The wiki is grateful to the OHS for making access available for these documents. For more information and links to all the letters, see Testimonial letters.

To whom it may concern.

I’m a Swedish artist who sings and write my own music. Through many years I’ve been touring with my own rockgroup aswell as by myself, singing and playing akustic gitar. I’ve recorded seven albums of my own and also Shaking up a lot of other artists. I’ve been guesting TV-shows, writing radioprograms, given interviews etc. I”m touring all over Scandinavia and I want to see my music as some kind of musical pictures.

I've always tried to work on how to develop the way to express myself and my songs and Baghwan has inspired me in my work. I’ve listen a lot to his tapes and red some of his books and I find his work very positive and inspiering. It also gives my fantasy a challenge and sometimes it has helped me to finish my own work and projects.

I know that Baghwan’s renown as a religious teacher and spiritual leader is very wellrespected all over the world. And I think a person with such exeptional abilities is of great importance to a lot of creative persons.

With kind regards
[signed]
Marie Bergman
