This letter is one of a remarkable series of over 2650 letters amassed in 1983 to support Osho's attempt to get permanent resident status in the US at the time of the Oregon ranch. The image is reproduced here with the kind permission of The Oregon Historical Society. Information about their collection of these letters and other supporting material -- the "Jeffrey Noles Rajneesh Collection", named for Osho's immigration lawyer Jeffrey Noles, who compiled them in 1983 and donated them to the OHS -- can be found at this page. The wiki is grateful to the OHS for making access available for these documents. For more information and links to all the letters, see Testimonial letters.

This letter is from Rüdiger Kukula. It is "Exhibit A-1124" in the Noles collection.

To whom it may concern

Since 1967 I studied at Giessen University in West Germany. 1974/75 I graduated in physics, mathematics and politics for being a teacher at college ("Gymnasium"). From 1975 to 1983 I taught at a large college in Giessen ("Herderschule").

Since February 1983 I am a teacher at Leuchtbergschule in Eschwege teaching preferably physics and mathematics.

Two years ago I came across Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh reading books by him. He not only influenced the development of my personality very much, but also gave me a completely new way in my pedagogical approach towards my students. He very clearly expresses thoughts of educating children and students in a way which helps them to accept freedom for themselves and acknowledge the freedom of others and thereby develop their own individuality. His thoughts are proofing an outstanding ability in this field which I never could find anywhere else.

I consider Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh not only to have exceptional qualifications in educational problems but also he gave me many hints concerning philosophy of modern physics (e.g. sub-nuclear physics and theoretical abstractions) and especially the relationsship between physics and religion. So I could improve my teachings by applying his thoughts (e.g. optical holography and the way of understanding "god" in different religions).

I really can testify Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh exceptional ability at least as far my fields are concerned.

With an astonishing speed Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh and his way of thinking become acknowledged in Germany more and more.
