This letter is one of a remarkable series of over 2650 letters amassed in 1983 to support Osho's attempt to get permanent resident status in the US at the time of the Oregon ranch. The image is reproduced here with the kind permission of The Oregon Historical Society. Information about their collection of these letters and other supporting material -- the "Jeffrey Noles Rajneesh Collection", named for Osho's immigration lawyer Jeffrey Noles, who compiled them in 1983 and donated them to the OHS -- can be found at this page. The wiki is grateful to the OHS for making access available for these documents. For more information and links to all the letters, see Testimonial letters.

This letter is from Rosciano Vincenzo. It is "Exhibit A-410" in the Noles collection.

The text version below has been created by optical character recognition (OCR), from the images supplied by OHS. It has not been checked for errors but this process usually results in over 99% correct transcription. Most apparent "errors" are correct transcriptions of typos already in the original. The image on the right in the text box links to a pdf file of the original letter, it has one page.

20th July 1983

To whom it may concern.

I am a doctor, and have studied in Italy, where I received, in 1977, the degree in Medicine and Surgery (full honors) at the University of Palermo. I have worked at the hospital since 1978 (medicine and first aid), and met during this time many people with physical and mental problems, and felt that the therapies used had reached a point where there was no progress any more.

I then met Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh personally in Poona, and in 1979 I started the meditations practised at the ashram; I immediately felt that this person was the only person who -thanks to his totality - could offer the true healing to the modern man.

After I went back to Italy and started working again in Palermo, I felt much more aware of the problems of my patients, and realized that their healing was much deeper and quicker. And I realized that the new vision, the new love that I had acquired being with Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh was the momentum that was bringing about this healing.

Even now, working at the hospital 'La Carita' in Switzerland (a pediatric hospital), I experience the same thing.

I feel grateful and respectful towards Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh for having given me this new dimension in the art of healing, and I realize that He has a depth and an awareness that very rarely has been attained by other human being during the last two centuries.
