July 20, 1983

To Whom It May Concern;

I have worked, in a professional capacity, over the past twelve years, as a nurse. I took my degree in 1971 in Salt Lake City, Utah. During these years I have specialized in Pediatrics, Rehabilitation, Surgery and Geriatrics. I have practiced professionally at both the University of Utah Medical Center and UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles, California.

During my years of practice in these varied fields of nursing I have, of course, had ample opportunity for intensive observation and learning in the very broad field of human health concerns. This background and education has added a great deal to the incredibly positive experience of overall health... in a very wholistic and total sense, I have witnessed and experienced among those living in Rajneeshpuram in the presence of Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh.

I attended the First Annual World Celebration in 1982, and returned again in May 1983 for an extended visit and stayed for the Second Annual World Celebration. I was, quite honestly, simply awed by the growth which had taken place in that oasis of energy during the past year; growth in all possible areas and directions; on a very individual level, such as personal unfoldment of friends I hadn’t seen in a year, evidenced in the radiant relaxed faces. And on a larger scale, the joyful easy cooperation with which projects are undertaken and the amazing pace itself under which this city is flowering only furthered my awareness and insight into the inspirational consequence of the presence of Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh. Everything I experienced during my stays in Rajneeshpuram spoke to me of wholeness, of health, of an absence of dis-ease.

This year has seen incredible changes, expansion, growth in the city of Rajneeshpuram; The reclaimation of the land, the increase of water availability, construction, preparations for the festival which hosted 15,000 people from all over the world. 15,000 people who spent eight joyous peaceful days together, who came to Rajneeshpuram to sit in silence in the presence of Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh for one hour each morning. I experienced the silence, the rich communication of love, the connection, the unquestionable inspiration of His presence. The silence seemed to be the true and ultimate flowering of all the words He spoke on so many other mornings for so many years.

I witnessed and experienced the incredible flowering of human potential which can be attested to by what is taking place in the city of Rajneeshpuram, and I witnessed and experienced the source and inspiration of what is taking place there to be the alive presence of Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh.

There is so much happening there, on so many levels, and it all is radiant and indicative of true health. It is apparent to me that those who are gathered around Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh have been through a process of some kind, a search, a journey, a very private and individual journey which has led them to a point of coming together, working together, worshiping together, What they are finding for themselves, individually, from my professional observations is leading them unquestionably towards greater and greater physical, mental and spiritual health.

What they are creating together, in Rajneeshpuram is remarkable in all of its aspects. It is a flowering whose source is the vision and the living presence of their spiritual Master, Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh. The inspiration of His presence is unquestionable. The outcome of His inspiration is remarkable.

Sincerely
With Love,
