Mit persönlichem Interesse verfolge ich in Presse, Rundfunk und Fernsehen die Bemühungen von Herrn Bhagwan Shree Raijneesh um seine Aufenthaltsgenehmigung in Ihrem Lande. Ich fühle mich in einer besonderen Beziehung zu Bhagwan Shree Raijne was für mich auch der Grund ist, einige Zeilen an Sie zu richten, di möglicherweise in positivem Sinne hilfreich sein könnten für die Beu teilung hinsichtlich der Aufenthaltsgenehmigung. Lassen Sie mich zu meiner Person in wenigen Sätzen folgendes sagen: Ich bin 1933 geboren und habe nach bestandenem Abitur das Studium des Wirtschaftsingenieurs mit Erfolg absolviert. In der Industrie habe ich erreichen können, daß ich heute bei einem Konzern mit Umsätzen von 5 Mrd. DM Leiter des Hauptabteilungs-Bereichs Betriebswirtschaft bin. Aus dieser Management-Position heraus bin ich zugleich Geschäftsführer einer mittleren Unternehmensgruppe, die eine 100 %ige Konzerntochter darstellt. Ich bin seit 1960 verheiratet und habe gemeinsam mit meiner Frau 2 Töchter im Alter von 22 und 20 Jahren. Mein Lebensweg in privater wie auch beruflicher Hinsicht ist keineswegs unproblematisch verlaufen. In den 60er und 70er Jahren habe ich mit sehr schwierigen persönlichen Problemen zu tun gehabt. Ich habe herausgefunden aus diesen Situationen, und ganz besonders von dem Zeitpunkt an, als ich erstmals über Bücher in Kontakt zu Bhagwan Shree Raijneesh trat. Das war 1977/78. Von diesem Zeitpunkt an ist Bhagwan Shree Raijneesh immer wieder Hinweis für mich gewesen, meinen ureigensten persönlichen Weg in geistig-seelischer Hinsicht zu suchen, zu finden und zu gehen. Im Grunde hat sich seit 1977/78 meine gesamte Bewußtseinshaltung, meine innere Einstellung und meine Haltung gegenüber mir und dem Leben um mich herum so total geändert, daß ich für mich einfach meine, daß der heutige Rolf Schaut mit dem von vor 5 oder 6 Jahren überhaupt nicht mehr vergleichbar ist. Die Auswirkungen in beruflicher und familiärer Hinsicht sind ebenso einfach wie frappierend. Meine Bereitschaft, offen zu sein, hat schlichtweg dazu geführt, daß der Umgang mit Menschen und Sachaufgaben freier, ungezwungener, ja um nicht zu sagen liebevoller geworden ist. Ich stehe heute in sehr viel engerer Beziehung zu Menschen, und ich erledige im Bereich meiner Arbeit wesentlich mehr und dennoch leichter als vor Jahren. Es ist sehr schwierig, das alles in wenigen Worten darzustellen. Ich finde für mich persönlich jedenfalls, daß die Beziehung zu Bhagwan Shree Raijneesh mitgeholfen hat, aus mir einen neuen Mensche zu machen, der in sich und im religiösen Sinn eine nicht gekannte Zufriedenheit fühlt. Insofern ist auch für mich Bhagwan ein religiös Führer, der, jedenfalls aus meiner Sicht, eine Unzahl Parallelen zu Jesus/Christus hat. Ich hoffe, daß diese wenigen Zeilen vielleicht einen Hauch davon vermitteln können, was Bhagwan bewirkt bzw. bewirken kann. Ich würde mich unwahrscheinlich freuen, wenn ich auf diese Weise ein klein wenig mitgeholfen hätte, Sie zu einer positiven Beurteilung hinsichi lieh der Aufenthaltsgenehmigung für Bhagwan Shree Raijneesh zu bewegen. I feel I have a special relationship to Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh and that’s the reason I’m writing a few lines which may be helpful in a positive way regarding the decision on the residence permit. Let me say a little about myself. I was born in 1933 and after matriculating from High School I successfully completed my studies as an Industrial Engineer. I’ve been able to reach a position in industry as head of the economic management department in a firm with an annual turnover of 5 billion marks. From this management position I also function as the general manager of a medium-sized business group which is a wholly-owned subsidiary. I got married in 1960 and my wife and I have two daughters, aged 22 and 20. My life has by no means been problem-free, in both private and professional spheres. In the sixties and seventies I had very difficult personal problems. From these situations I come into contact for the first time with Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh through books. That was in 1977-78. From that moment on Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh has repeatedly been a guide for me to seek, find and follow my very own personal path, in an intellectual and spiritual sense. Basically my whole consciousness, my inner attitude towards myself, and my outlook on life have changed so completely that I can only think that the present day Rolf Schaut bears no comparison to the one of five or six years ago. The results in both professional and personal respects are just as simple and amazing. My readiness to be open has resulted in my dealing with people and tasks in a freer, more natural, not to mention a more loving manner. Nowadays I relate much better to people and achieve far more at work with a greater ease than a few years earlier. It’s very difficult to express all this in a few words. In any case, I personally find my relatinship to Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh has assisted in making a new man out of me, one who feels a new-found contentment within and in a religious sense. That’s why for me Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh is a religious teacher who has numerous parallels to Jesus Christ. I hope these few lines can convey a glimpse of what Bhagwan’s influence is and can be.
