This letter is one of a remarkable series of over 2650 letters amassed in 1983 to support Osho's attempt to get permanent resident status in the US at the time of the Oregon ranch. The image is reproduced here with the kind permission of The Oregon Historical Society. Information about their collection of these letters and other supporting material -- the "Jeffrey Noles Rajneesh Collection", named for Osho's immigration lawyer Jeffrey Noles, who compiled them in 1983 and donated them to the OHS -- can be found at this page. The wiki is grateful to the OHS for making access available for these documents. For more information and links to all the letters, see Testimonial letters.

This letter is from Sw Krishna Veetraga (Cedric Sarkin). It is "Exhibit A-832" in the Noles collection.

The text version below has been created by optical character recognition (OCR), from the images supplied by OHS. It has not been checked for errors but this process usually results in over 99% correct transcription. Most apparent "errors" are correct transcriptions of typos already in the original. The image on the right in the text box links to a pdf file of the original letter, it has one page.

TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN

I have been involved in Aviation in one way or another since 1966 and through the inspiration and meditations made available by Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh I have been able to become a much more competent and safe pilot. Not only have I become aware of the tremendous contributions that Bhagwan’s teachings have made in the aviation community, but also many other pilots have benefited as well.

I trained in South Africa, America and England. Many pilots I met were over-stressed, unhappy domestic lives, fear of being laid off etc. etc. Through the wisdom and understanding about the complexities of the human being, made available by Bhagwan, I feel that many of these problems and fears no longer exist and as a pilot where attention and responsibilities run high where stress situations can occur at any moment, the help and benefits from the meditations are invaluable.

I appeal to your good common sense to recognise the exceptional abilities of Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh. If His teachings have so enriched the Aviation world, how much more He can enrich mankind and especially America, a country whose greatness lies in the ability to recognise men with such vision.

Yours sincerely,
[signed]
Swami Krishna Veetrag
